5 Things to Look for in a Plastic Shed

1. What's Included vs Added Extras

Plastic sheds are great, they come all finished and they don't require much experience to put them up.

But plastic sheds tend to have their own accessories. You can't just bolt a wood shelf to the wall, you need to buy the manufacturers special shelves with attachments.

In this way they have you over a barrel, so its important to look before you get one. How much the accessories are going to cost you.

2. Read Reviews about Assembly

It's hard to tell whether something is easy to put up or not if you only read the brochure. These days its easy to read reviews and find people who already own the plastic shed your looking at.

It's worth the 5 minutes to find out what you can expect when the shed gets delivered to your property.

3. Reinforced with Steel?

Plastic is maintenance free and easy to clean, but by itself it is not very strong. Most of the plastic sheds available are reinforced with steel, but it is important to check that the walls, roof and doors are reinforced.

4. Is it Lockable?

Good plastic sheds have internal locking mechanisms and built in systems.

5. A Warranty

Some homeowners receive their shed with pieces that are bent or warped.

It is good to know that there is a good customer service phone line available and they will send you the parts you need.
